Self-Esteem Affirmations from the Bible

Self-Esteem Affirmations from the Bible

If you haven't considered the Holy Bible a tutorial for self-esteem affirmations, you're doing yourself a great injustice. Negative self-talk is behind many self-esteem issues. Self-esteem Bible affirmations are an auspicious way to replace negative thoughts with affirmative beliefs.

But how – you ask – do I get started? This is an excellent question. It is true you won't find perfectly crafted self-esteem Bible affirmations. What you will find is God's promise to you that you can use to write your own self-esteem affirmations.

There are a couple of ways to begin. Start reading any chapter in your Bible. Start in the middle or near the end. Where you search isn't important. The truth you seek will jump right off the page and into your heart.

Or, you can close your eyes and open the Holy Book to a random page. Then, run your finger side-to-side, from top of page to bottom. At some point, you will be compelled to stop. Open your eyes and your affirmation appears almost like magic.

For example:

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." -  Mark 11:24

This is one of hundreds of self-esteem Bible affirmations. It tells us that whatever we are "doing" to enhance our self-esteem may cease. We simply need to get still and know that all things we desire are already ours.

Affirmation: "My self-esteem is powerful and irresistible."

Here is another affirmative verse:

"What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived - the things God has prepared for those who love him." -- 1 Corinthians 2:9

The substance of every good we can imagine, even more than we can possibly desire comes into our everyday life when we believe.

Affirmations: "My seemingly impossible good now comes to pass." "My unexpected good now happens."

To affirm anything is to state in a positive manner that it is so. We may not see how but by affirming a thing to be true, even when it does not seem to be true, we can manifest the thing.

"You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways." – Job 22:28

What matter would you decide on right now – this nanosecond - if you knew beyond doubt it would be yours? Don't worry about "establishing" anything. God will do the establishing.

Perhaps you were conditioned to believe that you can never do anything right.

Affirmation: "I take great pride in a job well done." "I am capable of great accomplishments."

You can bring any desired good into your life by persistently affirming it is there already!

"…hidden with Christ in God" – Colossians 3:3

No person, no set of circumstances can butt in between you and the Source of your life, wisdom or power.

Affirmation: "I am a child of God and His love and power flow into and through me."

"You open your hand, satisfying the desire of every living thing." – Psalm 145:16

Self-esteem affirmations backed by faith link our conscious need with His power and supply. Be mindful you are beautifully and appropriately connected with the rich Substance of God.

Affirmation: "I am poised and powerful, my greatest expectations are realized in a miraculous way."

We'll wrap-up with a verse that says it better than we possibly could.

"Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you." – Joshua 1:3
